The Philosophy Behind Perspection Spirits — Why We See Spirits Differently | The Liquor Connoisseur®

Every spirits brand has a story. Most stories are marketing. The story behind Perspection Spirits is different — because it comes from the same place that built The Liquor Connoisseur®: a genuine belief that how you see something changes what you taste.
Where the Name Comes From
Perspection. Perspective + Perception. The belief that the way you approach a spirit — what you know about it, who made it, where it comes from, why it exists — fundamentally changes what you experience in the glass. This isn't new in art or literature. But in spirits, it's still a radical idea.
Crystal and Roger have spent years proving this on The Liquor Connoisseur®. Episode after episode, the spirit tastes different once you know the story. Uncle Nearest hits differently when you know Nathan Green's name. Kilinga Bacanora carries something extra when you understand the 77-year ban. Sorel Liqueur becomes more than hibiscus and spice when Jackie Summers tells you what it cost him to build it.
Perspection Spirits is the brand built on that belief.
What We're Building
A Black-owned spirits brand rooted in Oklahoma City. Built on the principle that intentional drinking — knowing your glass, understanding your pour, caring about the who and the why — creates a fundamentally different experience than drinking for the sake of drinking.
Drink to Remember, Not to Forget isn't just The Liquor Connoisseur's motto. It's the founding philosophy of Perspection Spirits. Every product, every label, every decision in the building of this brand comes back to that principle.
Why Now
The Black-owned spirits movement is at an inflection point. Uncle Nearest proved the market exists. Sorel proved the diversity of category is there. Du Nord proved the community can be built. Black Momma Vodka proved that quality and purpose can coexist at the highest level. Perspection Spirits is building on that foundation — adding Oklahoma and the Southern Plains to the map of where intentional spirits come from.
