If you've never been to a private spirit tasting, you might picture something intimidating — hushed rooms, swirling glasses, and people using words like 'finish' and 'terroir' like they were born knowing what those mean. That's not what we do. Here's exactly what happens at a Liquor Connoisseur event.
Before the event: the planning consultation
After you book, Crystal and Roger will reach out to schedule a quick planning call. You'll talk through your group size, occasion, spirit preferences, and whether anyone needs a non-alcoholic option (there's always one available). By the time the event arrives, everything is already sorted.
The setup: we bring everything
You don't need to buy anything, prepare anything, or stress about anything. Crystal and Roger arrive with the spirits, tasting kits, educational materials, and the energy. All you need is the space and your guests.
The tasting: 4–5 pours, real education
Each guest gets a curated flight of 4 to 5 pours. For each spirit, you'll learn how to nose it properly, what to look for when you sip, and what makes that bottle interesting. The goal isn't to make you feel like an expert — it's to help you understand what you're tasting and why you like what you like.
The atmosphere: zero pretense
There are no wrong answers at an LC event. No one will make you feel silly for not knowing the difference between a single malt and a blend. The whole experience is designed to be fun, accessible, and genuinely educational. In-home tastings in OKC and Tulsa start at $500. Virtual tastings nationwide start at $500.
